# World Blood Donor Day — June 14, 2025
June 14th marks World Blood Donor Day, a global event that raises awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products. This year's theme: **"20 Years of Celebrating Giving: Thank You Blood Donors!"**
## Why Blood Donation Matters
In Cameroon, the need for blood is constant:
- Mothers facing complications during delivery
- Road accident victims requiring emergency transfusions
- Children with severe malaria
- Sickle cell patients during crises
- Surgical patients requiring blood support
## Hope Clinic Koumé Blood Drive

**Time:** 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
**Location:** Hope Clinic Koumé, Koumé-Bonis, Bertoua
All donors receive:
- Free health screening (blood pressure, blood sugar, HIV test)
- Refreshments after donation
- Certificate of donation
- Our sincere gratitude
**Eligibility:**
- Age 18–65 years
- Weight above 50 kg
- No recent illness or medication
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
